After completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Acadia in 2006, I went on to complete my Masters in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2008. Following my education, I moved back to my home province of BC where I began practicing in an orthopedics and sports-based clinic for a year and a half. I then made my way to Ontario to pursue my manual therapy certification. I have now completed all intermediate manual therapy levels and anticipate taking the exam in the near future! My move to Ontario allowed me more exposure to various physiotherapy settings: since moving here in 2010 I have had the opportunity to continue with private practice, and have been a home care and school health physiotherapy provider for 2 years where I worked with a wide array of clients including children with anything from development coordination disorders to cerebral palsy. Ontario definitely has allowed me the opportunity to work with a wide and wonderful variety of patients, and resulted in my introduction to Dr. Cruise and his practice!
Since coming on board with Cruise Chiropractic in 2010, I have continued to focus on providing one-on-one care to patients that centres around manual therapy and exercise programming for those with orthopedic and even neurological conditions. In addition to my manual therapy certifications, I have also completed acupuncture and yoga instructor certifications. And, I have developed and run, on an ongoing basis, a spinal stabilization group exercise class that anyone can join, and is held locally! I look forward to continuing to work with the great team here and helping patients in any way I can to achieve their physical health and fitness goals!
